Boo Sheep . . .

Baa, Baa, and Baa ~

I finished this Spooky Sheep last night.
I started it about 4 in the afternoon.

It is a Sheperd's Bush kit which included ~
The fabric which I changed.
Silk threads and the
darling little hat which is a button.
The three pumpkins
are stacked up
on each other.
It was very fast and quite fun.
I think next time I will get Thankful!

I plan to take out my signature and date
and move them at the bottom.

Thanks for peeking!
God Bless ~

Sail Away almost done

This is where I stopped at my last
posting. I have done all the stitching
on this part except for the flag.
I forgot it. I am also going to add some
blending filament to the sun for sparkle.
I did put glow-in-the-dark
blending filament in the lighthouse light and
the middle top window has a candle glow
awaiting the return of the loved one.
I took out the flowers and added some sheep
and used an over dyed silk from
Down Under for the water.
At first, I was
not happy with it but it has grown on me.
The picture of it turned out better than I
thought it would.
You can actually see the fish.
Now to the picket fence. I put in the first
two rows for placement and then
started the final words.
Got Come back again to me started
to do the next picket and it was
touching the top of the "C".
UGH!!!

You guessed it the Frog was back.
I took it out and put it right back in again.
Started on the flowers. I put in the only color
of green I had knowing it was not the one
I thought I had saved. Again with the frog ~
Got that torn out but now after finding
the green will finish the flowers and
the picket fence and flowers.

Will post again soon. I have the mats cut and
the framed purchased. Yea!

Thanks for taking a peek. Come by and see my
blog at theflyingitchesneedle.blogspot.com.

God Bless you one and all ~

Sheperd's Bush JSC Ornaments

It is almost that time of year again
and I have three of the five SB ornaments done.
They are from the JCS Christmas Ornament Book.

I just need to add the charms as soon as
I get them from The Silver Needle.

I am going to stretch them separately, add
a couple of mats around each and put them all
in the same frame.

Fortunately they were very easy and quick to stitch up!

This one was the first one I did years ago. I saw them at my retreat last year and they turn out to be pretty stunning!!!

As usual thanks for looking I appreciate it so much. TA TA for now ~

Roma's Garden and current progress

I recently showed a finish of mine on my blog which I competed in 1995. It's Roma's Garden and is such a favourite of mine. I just love all the specialty stitches in it, Roma herself, the garden gate, need I go on? A true pleasure to stitch this one.

I'm also stitching Baby Bug Ball at the moment. I've just completed one of the Bugs.

It's lovely seeing everyone's stitching and finishes on this blog. A real feast for the eyes for us SB fans!

Quaker Heart

I love SB with a total vengeance and have quite a few done and to do.  I suppose like everyone else.  I know this should have been finished as a picture but I decided that as it was a heart I wanted it finished as a heart so my friend Janet finished it for me because I am finishing challenged that's for sure.  To get Janet's email address just go to my blog and her name has been linked to her email address.

Earth Gatherer

Progress may be slow on this project. I'm finding the 32-count linen to be a bit difficult to deal with at night (even with my OTT light) ---- so this is my day project.

So far I have two feet --- a little bit of pan leg --- some pitchfork ---- and a heart. I love the little heart.

A small SB finish:)

People who know me, know I don't like to finish small pieces...but, I do love the SB fobs!
I finished this off about 1/2" larger than my last fob and going to use it as a pincushion.

I'm enjoying everyone's progress. Beautiful design choices and stitching!
Tracy, it may be awhile before I work on another SB, so if my space is needed...please give it to someone else.

Sail Away . . .

Here I am again with my Sail Away SAL.
I just wished I had gotten in on it sooner.
Sorry it is such a small photo. I will take one
Tuesday and download it to my computer
and post it.

This has been so much fun to stitch.
Unfortunately, the frogs came a visitin'
yesterday and I had to frog the second
and third verse 6 times.

I had a whole skein of Smokey Grays
so even though I took the letters out
so many times I still have a lot left.

Count with me 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. I don't
think in all the years of stitching
I have ever had
that much trouble.

I didn't feel good and I should have slept
instead of stitching.
Next time after two frogs come a visitin'
I will put the needle down.
Promise!

Thanks for looking but get out that
magnifying glass so you can see it.

God Bless ~

Here's my latest SB finish. A cute and quick one to do called Spooky Sheep. You could easily stitch this one in a day if you had the time to spare. I did mine over two nights.

Sail Away . . .

my dear ones ~

This is the progress I have made on my sampler.

You can't see that I have all of the white done
on the little person.
But you sure can see his

HAT!

I used the threads called for except I did use
a different color for the heart,
the square next to it,
the waves, fishes and the motif
next to waves and fishes.

They are silks from Dinky Dyes and one is
Waterlilies.

I will take a picture with my camera
and it will be bigger and a little
clearer.
As always, thanks for looking I appreciate it.

God Bless ~

The Earth Gatherers

I had a hard time settling on a new project yesterday. Because I already have Wool Gatherer and Herb Gatherer finished, I decided to tackle The Earth Gatherers.

I was a little intimidated. I haven't worked on any large in a long time. Then I opened the kit (which has been in my stash for YEARS!) and saw the 32-count fabric. INTIMIDATED even more. Then I pulled out the unsorted floss-wad and the bead/embellishment pack. ARGH!!!! How in the world do you tell the browns apart.

I decided to pull the floss from my stash and match it up as I go along. So far, so good!

Now not even the fabric is intimidating me. It's not nearly as hard to see as I though it would be. Good light and a bit of patience and I'll do okay!

Purple Snowman.

She is a girl-friend of my Blue (Red) Snowman :)))

Welcome to my blog: Anna-Zont

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Just starting. . .

tonight about 8:30 UPS dropped off
my kit for Sail Away.
I had most of the threads but none
of the charms or beads. I had
chosen my threads as best as
I could but didn't like the way
they looked stitched up.

So . . . I will go put my flowers in and
see how it looks.
Hope to post something tomorrow night.

Boy, do I have some catching up to do!!!

Thanks so much for looking and leaving a comment.
Your inspiration helps release those endorphins
that make me so happy.

Wooly Winter . . .

is a Shepherd's Bush kit I started
many, many, many years ago
and it is
past time I got it done.

It is done on grey-blue linen fabric with silk threads.

As you can see it is very small across the top
and should be easy to finish.
Say a Prayer!

When I was taking pictures of my stitching one day
I needed more photos for the CD.

I started digging in the basket by my chair
and came up with about 8 started projects.
As if, I needed to dig up anything. I have started
charts all over the house.

I am trying to get photos of all so I can
better organize my stitching!
Oh, that's a good one Huh?

All I can say is someday. I should live so long!

As always thanks for encouraging me ~
it does help.
I appreciate you stitchers so much.

I love doing my blog and seeing all
of
the gorgeous stitching!
God Bless ~

Finshed!!

I have finished Autumn's Blessings!

It is at the framers. I can't wait to get it back. I bought the mat that was in the picture with it and it is absolutely gorgeous.
Until next time...

Getting there!

When I took these pictures I thought the "big picture" was done but when I posted them on my blog I noticed that I was missing the sun rays. Anyway here is an almost complete "big picture"
Now I am past the half way point! :) So happy!

Sail Away . . .

my dear one
upon a lapis sea
but if the winds be restless
come back again to me.
I started my sampler.
I don't really like the way it looks.
What to do, what to do?
I will just have to try another thread for the verse.
I had changed it but I am not happy with it.
I will upload a picture hopefully,
tomorrow.
Thanks for looking!
God Bless ~
